“I believe it takes a village to raise children. Donna and Chris were a part of my older children’s upbringing. My twins were hard to transport and had other issues, so they did not get to experience Discovery Bay until they were older. My middle daughter, when she was an infant, refused to be cared for by anyone except myself or the child care staff. I will never forget Chris, Kathy, and Donna both telling me go. We will be fine. We will find you if there’s a problem. There was only one time that I can remember that they had to come get me. It was because my daughter was throwing up. I also utilized the ability to leave our children and leave the gym. When I had the twins, I needed to find more adult time for myself. I took classes in Seattle so I could earn CEU credits through the Psychological Society on Infant Development Observation. It met once a week for class and once a week I needed to follow an infant. It was hard to find childcare for only a few hours and days a week. I could not have done the class if this service was not available. Once I remember getting stuck in traffic and they kept my daughters until my husband could come retrieve them. I always knew my kids were in good hands.”
