Do I need a referral from a doctor?
A physician's referral is not needed for treatment by a physical therapist. However, some insurance companies require a referral in order to reimburse for physical therapy. We recommend that you consult your physician and include them in your treatment plans and call your insurance company to determine your specific coverage.
How much time should I allow for my appointment?
Plan an hour for each visit, and please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first appointment.
How many treatments will I need?
Patients are typically seen 1 - 3 times per week depending upon the type and severity of injury.
How will I be billed?
If you have insurance, PRO Sports Club Physical Therapy will bill your insurance company directly. Otherwise, you will receive a billing statement twice a month.
Bicycling related pain syndromes may be eligible for insurance coverage depending on your individual plan. You will be billed at the time of service for comfort and performance bicycle fitting.
What do I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose clothing such as shorts/sweats, T-shirts, or any athletic attire. There are spacious fully appointed locker rooms and showers available at all times for your convenience.
For a bicycle evaluation, you will need to bring comfortable riding apparel including your shoes and shorts in addition to the bike you ride the most.
Will I receive the same care in each clinic?
All of our clinics treat a variety of clients and conditions. While each therapist has a different background and slightly different treatment techniques, you will receive the same excellent care in each of our three locations.
Do you have childcare?
Childcare may be arranged in advance with our childcare center in Bellevue at (425) 861-6247 or in Seattle at (206) 332-1873.
Is parking available?
Free parking is available in the Bellevue club's parking garage, and for the convenience of those with injuries or limited mobility, we have several parking spaces designated for physical therapy near the club entrance. Designated parking is available directly outside the Willows Road front door. Validated parking is available in the parking garage under the building at the Seattle club.
How can Physical Therapy help me?
A Physical Therapist is a musculoskeletal expert who can evaluate your condition and identify the source of your discomfort or dysfunction. Upon evaluation the therapist will work with you to devise a treatment plan to alleviate your symptoms. This treatment plan will be catered to your individual needs and may include any combination of our services. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate your pain and allow you to fully participate in all of your activities.
What will I do on my first visit?
Plan on coming 15 minutes before the start of your appointment to fill out paperwork which includes information about your specific injury, current function, and pain scale. Please bring along a referral from your physician (if applicable) and your insurance card.
After finishing your paperwork you will be evaluated by a licensed Physical Therapist. You will discuss your symptoms with the therapist in addition to any other pertinent information such as activities that are affected by your condition. Your therapist will then take you through tests and measures including strength and flexibility testing and ultimately create your unique treatment plan.
For future visits we ask that you schedule two weeks out and let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make your appointment.
