Name: Mark Dedomenico
Bio: Dr. Dedomenico, a graduate of St. Louis University Medical School, has been associated with the Hope Heart Institute in Seattle, Washington, since 1964. In 1967, he was the author of the paper, which began what is now called Coronary Bypass Surgery. Up to 500,000 of these surgeries are performed each year. He has also published papers concerning weight management and other metabolic disorders. Today, Dr. Dedomenico coordinates the 20/20 Lifestyles Clinic and is engaged in research on individual wellness and methods to slow aging. His work has taken him into the areas of genetics, nutrition, exercise physiology, behavior modification, and environmental impact.
