She has been teaching swim lessons since 2003 to parent-tots, babies, toddlers, youth, and adults, and draws from her 8 years of experience as a competitive swimmer.

Although I began teaching swimming lessons several years ago, having grown up in the aquatic world in a family of teachers with great influences, I’ve been learning how to become a great teacher my whole life. I love to work with children of all ages and abilities because I’m confident that I can teach anyone how to become a more comfortable, safe, and stronger swimmer. I also enjoy working with adults looking to overcome difficulties in swimming, as well as those who want to focus on their swimming finesse. I simply love to teach.

Carol will assist each swimmer to realize their individual goals. She works with swimmers to create confidence in the water, a balanced stroke, and perfect mechanics in all four competitive strokes. Carol is passionate about swimming; she swims Masters, coaches summer swim team, has dabbled in sprint triathlons, and takes enormous satisfaction from seeing all her swimmers persevere, flourish, and enjoy the water. Having a Masters in Physical Education, Chloe is a teacher at heart. She has been teaching swimming for over 10 years and takes a nurturing approach, supporting children both physically and mentally. Chloe is an energetic, fun, and knowledgeable teacher who teaches all ages and abilities including parent-tots, babies, toddler, youth, and adults. She also swam and dove competitively for 7 years and is currently a swim team assistant coach.

Clayton works with youth ages 3-18 and believes that if children are having fun, they learn and retain their skills better. He’s learned to create a balance between fun and productive learning environment. He worked with the YMCA for 2 years prior to joining PRO Sports Club, and is a youth leader at his church.

Danielle enjoys working with clients of all abilities and backgrounds. Her diversity ranges from babies/parent-tot up to adults. She is very knowledgeable in specific skill development and fine tuning technique. Danielle has been teaching swim lessons since 2002 and continues to be an assistant coach on our PRO Swim Team. She also has extensive background working with special needs clients.

Elena Boushley

Elena has been teaching swim lessons since 2006. Her enthusiasm and encouragement brings out her students best efforts, and she loves seeing them accomplish their goals.. She believes you can’t be a great swimmer without mastering the basics and she focuses on the fundamentals of swimming. Elena has varied experience with all ages. She spent many years with babies and young children in a variety of professional settings, including working with special needs children as a speech pathology assistant. She’s also trained quite a few triathletes.

Emily Pierson

Emily uses enthusiasm to inspire others to enjoy learning how to swim. Having been an instructor since 2000, she has taught babies to adults and has also been a coach for PRO Swimming. Emily has been a competitive swimmer and triathlete since she was 6 years old. She swam in China in the 2001 Nationals and is a national level triathlete. She enjoys working with adults to prepare them for triathlon open water swims.

Eric Preston

Eric has taught swimming over 20 years and has worked with all ages. Being a triathlete who competes in sprints to Ironman competitions, Eric enjoys working with swimmers to achieve their triathlon swimming goals. He also enjoys teaching beginners and seeing the joy a person gets in learning new skills. He teaches the Triathlon Swim class, and is a certified Total Immersion instructor.

Erika started swimming competitively when she was 7 years old. She has been teaching swimming to both children and adults since 2005. Erika rowed the varsity 8+ for the University of Minnesota, and recently graduated with a B.S. in Human Resources. She also spends time volunteering at Camp Korey and has a passion for working with children who have special needs or medical conditions. She enjoys sharing her love of the water with others and provides a technique based approach to swimming while emphasizing fun.

Erin believes that swimming chose her. Since childhood, she’s been naturally drawn to water. She swam competitively for 13 years and has been a swim instructor since 1998. She strives to develop strong personal relationships with her clients and is passionate about encouraging and motivating them to reach their personal swimming goals. Her teaching experience ranges from babies, youth, adults, and triathletes to those with mental and physical disabilities.

Helenita Jacobs

Helenita enjoys working with adults of all abilities. She’s certified in two revolutionary swim programs: Miracle Swimming and Total Immersion. She’s also a certified senior coach and conducts weekend workshops in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Montana, as well as at PRO Sports Club. Her passion is to see everyone's swimming goals come to fruition. She’s a very patient teacher who ensures that every student’s needs are met with a smile and consideration. She intuitively recognizes discomfort or fear in water and uses the Miracle Swimming program to reshape her student's beliefs about water so they can confront their fears and conquer them with 100 percent success. Helenita has also competed in numerous triathlons (up to Ironman distance) and works with her students, enabling them to become the most efficient, fluid, and fast they can be, through the world-renowned Total Immersion swim method. She has been coaching and instructing since 2003.

Janet Irving

Janet enjoys working with all ages, from 6 months to adults, and has been teaching over 38 years. She has taught everything water-related, including Baby Aquatics, youth swimming, pre-comp and competitive athletes as well as triathletes. Her joy in teaching comes from seeing the love of the sport take shape and her students’ abilities to develop beyond their expectations. Her other certifications include classroom teacher, WSI certification, CPR, and First Aid.

Katie grew up in the water, swimming competitively for 13 years. She has been teaching youth swim lessons at PRO Sports Club since 1999, and is also an elementary school teacher in the Bellevue School District. Her passion for teaching and children, as well as her high expectations, lead to progress and success.

Katie has been teaching and coaching in the aquatics field since 1997. She enjoys working with adult and youth swimmers bringing efficiency and proper stroke technique. Katie has been trained to work with children who have been diagnosed with Autism. Her past experience as a home therapist for children on the spectrum, gives her some additional knowledge and teaching skills. Katie is an enthusiastic, energetic and driven instructor that produces great results.

Kelsey Booth

Kelsey enjoys working with children and adults alike, as there are unique differences with each group. She has taught swimming lessons for over 20 years in Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Her background includes teaching baby, youth, and adult lessons, as well as coaching swim team, beginner synchronized swimming, and beginning diving. In teaching at many different pools over the years, Kelsey has gained a great combination of ideas and creativity that pushes her clients to achieve their goals, regardless of their age or any obstacles they may face. When Kelsey’s not working with the swim team or in a swim lesson, you’re likely to find her in the water - boating, swimming, or scuba diving.

Kelsey is a fun and energetic swim instructor who enjoys bringing out the joy and laughter in her students. She has been teaching baby and me, water polo, swim team, private, and group lessons since 2007. Originally from Portland, Kelsey was a synchronized swimmer for nine year. She also played water polo for eight and was the goalie for the University of Oregon’s water polo team for four years. Kelsey graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Education and minor in Special Education. She enjoys teaching and sharing her passion of the water with others.

Kristen Briggs

Kristen has been teaching swim lessons since 2006 working with ages 6 months to adults. She helps students build an excitement for swimming in a fun and enthusiastic teaching style. She has a diverse background in working with all ages and abilities (fearful to elite), and those with unique situations (blind and ESL). Kristen has a degree in Human Development and minor in Early Childhood Development. Currently she is a full time Preschool teacher at Bright Horizons where her passion for children and learning is even more developed.

Kristi has been teaching swim lessons since 2005. She loves working with children of all ages and skill levels and excels in helping others overcome their fear of water through encouragement and persistence. Once her students are comfortable in the water, Kristi takes an assertive approach to teaching as she believes that the quickest way to learn is by stepping out of your comfort zone. Kristi has 7 years of competitive swimming experience.

Being Australian, Meryl grew up in and around water. She has been teaching for 25+ years and is passionate about showing everyone, young and not-so-young, how much enjoyment can be obtained from both swimming and exercising while wet. Her enthusiasm and creativity are apparent in every H20 cardio class she teaches. In her beginner adult swim classes, she teaches balance and being comfortable moving through the water before perfecting style. For more advanced swimmers, her attention to detail helps to perfect technique. Meryl also loves to work with young children.

Misty has worked in the Aquatic Center at PRO Sports Club since 2006. She has a variety of experience including teaching private and group lessons, and water aerobics as well as being a lifeguard and swim team coach. Misty is an enthusiastic, upbeat instructor. She has been a competitive swimmer for 13 years and has coached both children and adults for 12 years.

Shalia enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs. She has been teaching infants, children and adults for 12 years. She’s a high-energy instructor who places a strong focus on technique and water safety. From shy or intimidated students to those simply wanting to brush up on their strokes, Shalia works with all experience levels. Her joy in teaching comes from seeing her students overcome their fears and become recreational and competitive swimmers.

Shirin has taught swim lessons since 2006 and has coached a summer swim league since 2007. As a former competitive swimmer, she enjoys working on technique or speed with students. Her experience includes working with beginning level infants to older master swimmers. As a nursing student, she has a good background in anatomy and physiology, and is flexible in teaching different skills with different drills.

Taylor has a passion for swimming which she loves to share with her students by offering encouragement, enthusiasm, and care. In lessons, she interacts with each child on an individual basis to find out what motivates him/her to succeed. Although she’s drawn to children, she has taught all ages and abilities. Taylor’s patient and fun attitude inspires learning and positive growth. She has been around water, lessons, and aquatics her entire life, and has been teaching swimming since 2007. Her experience also includes teaching preschool students in a classroom environment.

Vivien is a passionate instructor who strives for technique development, repetition, and consistency. She has been teaching swim lessons since 2006, and coached for 3 years prior to that. She continues being an assistant coach for PRO Swimming. She teaches children 3 years and older to adults. Vivien is a professional athlete, having been a five time World Champion swimmer and participating in the 2000 Olympics in backstroke.
